The Peranakan

Penang Lapis is a traditional cake built up of nine colourful layers of rice pudding. It has a wobbly and soft texture. Coupled with the beautiful array of colours, it is often a huge hit with both young and old alike!

Pulut Seril Kaya (Kueh Salat) is a 2-layer kueh - glutinous rice steamed with coconut milk to make a firm bottom layer, and a top custard layer, made with eggs and coconut milk. This kueh is sweet and soft, yet smooth and rich. A tantalising treat to every discerning dessert lover!

Kueh Wajik is made up of glutinous rice, cooked with aromatic gula melaka and then pressed into a baking pan. Be amazed by the burst of the fragrant gula melaka coupled with lovely, chewy goodness with every bite!

Nyonya Kueh (Whole cakes)

Not to worry, now you can have this sumptious feast at home!  Please select at least 2 persons. Price stated is per person.

To our knowledge, this is a Teochew/Nyonya concoction. Taw kwa Pau also known as Hor Pau. This is a protein-rich, carbo-free meal for those on a low-carbo diet. Deep fried tofu (bean curd) - golden outside and has a tender chewy skin for texture. Smooth and moist inside. A slit is made and filled with chopped braised egg, fried yam, fish ball, braised pork belly and "crunchy pork lard" (that's the way we eat it at home) It is served with a savoury brown sauce used to braise the pork belly + a tangy chilly sauce with green chilli and onions. $30 for a pack of 5pcs. So sedap! Available for take away and delivery only!

Nasi ambeng is a popular Javanese cuisine, especially within the Javanese-Malay communities. Nasi Ambeng is often served communal dining-style on a to be shared; especially during festive and/or special occasions and between families.
